Night Shift
You run the depot tonight. Every bus has to be out on time tomorrow morning, and the demand charge is set by tonight's peak. Pick a limit, pick a rule, run the night.
Lower is cheaper. Too low and buses leave short.
The site battery covers the peak. Holding some back protects you if a bus turns up late.
How this is scored
Each bus gets a target charge from its next-day route plus a safety reserve. Buses that hit it leave green; buses that can only just cover the route leave amber; buses that can't leave red. Power is shared under your limit using the rule you picked, and the site battery discharges to hold the peak. The demand charge is a generic $/kW-month rate applied to the night's peak. Capacity-level and directional, one night, no tariff detail. The real thing is more complicated, which is the point.
